VACANCY: MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
We are keen to add talent to our organisation and in particular to our team of circa 25 engineers ( microwave, electronics, SAW, mechanical and industrial). In this role you will play a key part in the design, detail and development of a range of machined, cast and plated parts. Taking from concept you will work through the design and development stages and on into production, with parts and projects from multi-disciplined teams.
Requirements to Succeed in the Role:
- You will ideally be educated to HNC level in Mechanical Engineering combined with at least 5 to 7 years engineering experience. Within that time you will have spent time working in a design environment.
- With strong mechanical design knowledge of low and high volume manufacture parts you will have experience on the Autodesk Inventor package and knowledge of production techniques.
- Ability to work under pressures and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work with concepts and turn them into production parts.
- Strong technical skills and high standard of accuracy
- 3D and 2D Drawing experience
- You will have a good grasp of fundamental mechanical engineering principles and an ability to think outside of your specialism and work well within multi-discipline teams.

VACANCY We are now seeking additional talent in the Passive Microwave Engineering Team.
This role will focus on the design and development of passive microwave components for the defence, communications and cellular markets. You will see your designs move from concept to prototype onto in-house manufacturing and then final delivery to blue-chip customers in the commercial and European defence markets
In your first year in the role you can expect to be trained in:
- the design of diplexers and microwave filters for the communications market
- microwave measurements,
- using finite element software for solving RF design problems,
- using mode matching CAD software for solving design problems,
- using 2D and 3D mechanical CAD drawing packages.
To succeed in the role you will need:
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Applied Physics.
- To be able to demonstrate an interest in EM wave theory and an appreciation of waveguide and coaxial transmission line theory.
- Preferably experience in 3D RF CAD software packages i.e. Ansoft HFSS
- To be a good communicator; and be
- An enthusiastic problem solver who is able to work on their own initiative.

VACANCY: TEMPORARY PRODUCTION ROLES
We require people who are reliable and enthusiastic and who do not mind repetitive work. It is essential that you are able to get to our factory here in Newbridge. Whilst the positions are temporary, they may lead in time to permanent and more skilled roles.
The basic hours of the job are:
- Monday to Thursday 8.25am to 5.05pm and on a Friday 8.25am to 1.20pm
- There may be requirement for overtime working and possible shift working – early and back shift, however, the main hours are 37.5 hours a week dayshift.
The conditions:
- Salary is £11,629 per annum or £5.96 per hour – which is paid monthly
